Dedicated to person-centered dementia support grounded in human potential
Matthew Call, co-founder and co-CEO
Matthew Call has dedicated his career to improving the lives of individuals living with dementia—a passion sparked during his high school years while volunteering at a nursing facility. Over the past 25 years, he has worked primarily as a consultant, designing holistic, person-centered programs across a range of settings, including hospitals, memory care facilities, and adult day programs. In 2022, Matthew founded Alzheimer’s Home Therapy, offering in-home therapeutic services grounded in the scientific Theory of Multiple Intelligences—a strength-based approach to care that led to remarkable outcomes. His work gained much attention when CBS-affiliate Wink News featured him helping a man with dementia relearn to write by tapping into his preserved abilities. The overwhelming response from families inspired Matthew to franchise his model, eventually expanding to dozens of locations across the country.
In 2024, a chance meeting with Melissa Mirabello—an experienced educator who had spent decades applying Multiple Intelligences theory in the classroom—sparked a powerful collaboration. As they shared stories of how leveraging people’s strengths transformed both learning and care, they recognized the potential to merge their expertise. This conversation led to the founding of the Center for Holistic Dementia Care (CFHDC), an organization committed to redefining dementia support through a strength-based, person-centered lens.

Her enthusiasm for teaching through various methodologies and frameworks, such as Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, and her goal to support caregivers with innovative and practical care strategies have inspired her collaboration with Matt at The Center for Holistic Dementia Care.
